Last year I got to spend Mother’s Day with my two favorite moms. My Kalamazoo mom and my New York mom. Can you tell which one spawned me??? Julia is kind enough to share her beautiful momma with me. One of the best years of my life was the last year I got to live with Julia and mom (because she’s now my mom too;) Julia and I took these pretty ladies to the Botanical Gardens and then to a fancy Mexican restaurant after.

This year if you got a momma in NYC you can take her to Madonna & Co and (both of you) can get 20% off whatever you buy through the month of May if you mention this post! & If you and your momma don’t live in NYC you can get the deal online at I visited Madonna & Co for their Gelareh trunk show and fell in love with all of the timeless textures and colors.  Whether you want to stop in and use the 20% off to treat your mom or bring your mom out in hopes that she’ll get you a little somethin- Madonna & Co is definitely a Soho hotspot both you and your mom will enjoy.

This Sunday if you’re in Soho come see me at The Rock Church’s 10:30 service @ the Soho Playhouse 15 Vandam St. & After service you can stop right around the corner and check out Madonna & Co 284 Lafayette Street (between Prince and Houston)!

& Befor eI go, I’ll leave you with a few items my mom would either fight over or have to buy and match each other: 1. The Asymmetric Lace Dress, 2. The Rhinestone Collars, 3. The Long Tweed Cardigan & 4. The Crochet Poncho.

What are you doin for/with your mom this Mother’s Day??

What a great Mother’s Day that was! I am so grateful to Cynthia for mothering Ruby when she was so far away from home. I am blessed to have a daughter who lives out her dreams and inspires others. Ever since she was a little girl, she had definite passion for fashion. All her teachers would look forward to seeing what creative outfit she was going to pull together. Even in high achool she lived out the verse “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” She understands how the right poncho or shoes gives you the confidence to take on the world.
